Green Alkalising Smoothie!

For those mornings you need something fresh and clean!

I love adding greens to my smoothies and smoothie bowls! It's an easy way to increase the amount of greens you have. Green leafy vegetables and green algae are some of the most nutritious foods! They are wonderfully alkalising, loaded with antioxidants, contain an abundance of nutrition including vitamin K, beta-carotene, amino acids, manganese, calcium and magnesium, enzymes, gamma-linoleic acid, bioflavonoids.. to name a few!

Greens shift the body from an acidic state to a more alkaline state.

Stress, sugar, salt, alcohol, high-protein diets all swing the body into acidity. Our bones have to compensate by releasing alkalising minerals into the blood. It's super important to be eating a whole food plant-based diet - containing lots of minerals and phytochemicals to maintain a happy alkaline state - boosting energy!
